Sheila Slick, MS of Ormond Beach has been selected as Co-Chair to Lead SCORE Chapter 87 Volusia & Flagler

Working together with Adrienne Barker, MAS, both Sheila and Adrienne (Co-Chair) Will Lead Local Efforts for SCORE “Mentors to America’s Small Business”

Volusia/Flagler Chapter 87—SCORE announces Sheila Slick as its new chapter co-chair, with the term beginning April 18, 2022.  . In this position, Sheila, along with Adrienne,  will coordinate community outreach, recruiting and the chapter’s small business mentoring and workshop programs.

SCORE CEO Bridget Weston says, “Sheila Slick’s selection as chapter  co-chair will have a very positive impact on Volusia/Flagler SCORE.” Weston adds, “Sheila Slick  has shown tremendous dedication to the Volusia/Flagler  business community. She will ensure the superior level of service that Chapter 87 SCORE offers to area businesses.” Sheila has been a successful Certified Business Mentor and Webmaster for SCORE 87 and is currently serving as a facilitator for the FASTTRAC entrepreneurship education program  for the City of Ormond Beach. 

Sheila Slick, MS has been with Volusia/Flagler SCORE since 2021. She has over 15 years of experience in start-ups, entrepreneurship and business administration. Sheila holds a Master of Science in Leadership from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Florida State University and has extensive global experience working on multinational projects with high-level stakeholders to promote international business development. She has been recognized for ability to educate, mentor, and motivate adults and students in business and leadership concepts through technology and innovative approaches to develop public interest in STEM-related industries. 

She served as ambassador to LATAM Entrepreneurship, dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship in Latin America and supporting economic empowerment and development. Also selected by the US State Department, as one of two delegates, to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2018 held in Hyderabad, India. 

Volusia/Flagler SCORE provided 2,901 hours of small business services to area entrepreneurs in 2021, through face-to-face and email mentoring, and a series of business workshops. The chapter’s 57 volunteers have an average of 25  years of business experience, with a wide range of expertise.
